Founded in 1860 by Léon Lebrun,
a vineyard owner in the prestigious
Côte des Blancs, the House
was established in the village
of Avize, a remarkable terroir
that would later be recognised as a Grand Cru.

Wines from the Lebrun family vineyards were blended with the finest crus
of Champagne, reflecting an unwavering commitment to quality. Léon’s son, Albert,
gave his name to the House, while subsequent generations—George and François—
faithfully preserved its heritage and expertise for more than 135 years.

The Terroir Collection brings together generations of patiently passed-down expertise and the House's most prestigious family vineyards.

It comprises a Grand Cru, a Premier Cru, and a Blanc de Noirs,
each expressing the unique character of its terroir.
More recently, the House unveiled the latest addition to its prestigious
Terroir Collection: an Organic Champagne.

The Premier Cru designation recognises the outstanding quality of some of Champagne's finest terroirs. Of the region's 319 villages, only 44 have been awarded this classification, representing approximately 17% of the total vineyard area within the Champagne appellation.

Today, nearly 2,700 hectares of vineyards in Champagne are farmed organically, representing almost 8% of the region's total vineyard area.

Since 2003, Maison Albert Lebrun has been part of the Rapeneau family, one of Champagne's leading families of winegrowers.

With the acquisition of the House, the family—whose roots in Champagne
span more than a century—has been committed to restoring its full
identity while honouring its vineyards and exceptional terroirs.
